Overview
Ash, a 28-year-old Chinese American and rebellious aspiring artist, escapes her family's expectations. He travels to Calexico, a border town in California, where he forms a close bond with Lo, a Mexican student who crosses the border to deliver flowers to his uncle's florist in the United States. Both are stuck in limbo – living castaways in a foreign country, facing social pressures, family expectations, and questions about identity. During the last day together, they are forced to define their relationship.
